A teacher training is a powerful way to fully embody the lifestyle of yoga for a set period of time and is a unique opportunity to really live and breathe your practice. This makes the transformation that comes with the practice that much easier to incorporate into our regular lives.
Each day begins with a long practice breaking down the theme or pose of the day, followed by learning sequencing, philosophy, anatomy, and learning how to take your practice into the world.
15-Hour Teacher Training
Hands-on Adjustments and the Art of Reading Bodies
This three-day clinic is for teachers and practitioners who want to increase their knowledge of asana. This workshop is specifically designed for yogis looking to understand alignment in the postures, and for yoga teachers looking to improve their knowledge of how to read bodies and
give adjustments that meet student’s individual needs.
This workshop will help you improve your confidence as a teacher by refining your touch skills.
For students, understanding the alignment in the postures will optimize your experience in the
poses.
Learn how to better read and assess body language by using the basic techniques of applying safe and practical hands-on adjustments as well as verbal and energetic adjustments. By focusing on how the poses work on different body types, you will explore several asanas in the opening practices and partner work. Learning how to assist and support others improves your own practice in the process and your understanding on how your body works.
25-Hour – Traveling from the Outside In
This mini intensive will move you from the outside, in, showing you the many layers of your being. You’ll learn about your Ananamaya Kosha – the outer body. This is the key to increasing safety and vitality in your physical body. Each day after practice, we will review anatomy and common injuries in yoga. We will slowly begin to unravel the mystery of the Pranamaya Kosha (our inner body) and how to increase our own vitality inside which helps to keep us healthy and strong. We will look at key postures and understand how to work them in a way where you are supported from the inside and out. This training ends with a discussion on self-care and how to incorporate authenticity into your practice and your life.
30-Hour – Vinyasa Flow Sequencing Training
This creative training will teach students and teachers the art of sequencing. Sequencing a vinyasa flow class is a skill that when done correctly, can leave students feeling transformed! When your sequence is effective, it supports the anatomical body and can access the vital energy inside, creating results of lightness and bliss, that a true yoga practice offers.
Each morning begins with a long practice, followed by a lesson on breaking down the sequence. We’ll then dig in to understand which postures supported the peak or the theme of the class and which postures were used to counter that theme. We will explore the subtle body, learning the vayus and chakras and how to access this elusive place during practice.
Each day ends with a pranayama and meditation practice, followed by a discussion on Ayurveda to learn how to incorporate all aspects of yoga into your life.
50-Hour Training – Embodying Yoga
This training is a combination of the first two trainings and will teach students how to embody their yoga practice. We will begin each day with a themed-based practice focused on how asana can support the anatomical and inner body, which helps us manage our energy in an efficient way. We will break down common injuries, and learn how to work with students who have a chronic illness and how to treat both in an effective and healing way. Sequencing will be broken down to look at ways we can understand how to teach to all levels – from a beginner to the advanced practitioner.
We will explore the business of yoga and how teachers can increase their private clientele, align with their dharma, and create a niche in the yoga world where they can thrive! This training will include a discussion on self-care and Ayurveda and how to personalize these practices so you can share the benefits with others. This training is geared toward teachers and anyone looking to go to the next level in their practice and studies.
200-Hour Teacher Training – The Elements of Flow
This is a foundational training that will include understanding all of the elements of yoga. Each day there will be a long asana practice incorporating meditation and pranayama, focused around the theme of the day. In the
afternoons, we will study the benefits and purpose of each yoga posture in depth, such as standing postures, inversions, backbends, twists, and forward bends. We will learn how to read bodies and give safe effective hands-on adjustments and how to use the props.
We will apply anatomy and to help understand the effects of the postures and how to sequence them together to create an effective class. We will dive into philosophy, the subtle body, and develop a pranayama and restorative practice that students can incorporate into their lives. By the end, you will be able to teach a short class and prepare a safe and effective sequence.
The training is followed up with a fifty-hour online course that includes twenty hours of practice and podcast to integrate the information taught during the training.
