Kerry Amstrong

Los Angeles, California

Kerry Armstrong is a lifelong explorer who believes in the transformative power of travel to ignite wonder, spark curiosity, and deepen our connection to the world. The daughter of a military family, she grew up moving across the United States and spent part of her childhood in Germany—experiences that instilled in her a love of cultural immersion and the gift of adaptability.

In her adult life, Kerry has explored a rich tapestry of careers. Her early passion for theater led her to earn a BFA in Acting from Cornish College of the Arts, after which she moved to New York and joined the experimental theater group Red Dive. She later produced commercial photo shoots, apprenticed as a dog trainer, and helped bring The Moth's StorySLAMs to life in Los Angeles. Her dedication to animal welfare inspired her to launch Home Dog LA, a shelter intervention program that later expanded into betterTogether Forever, operating out of an animal shelter near downtown Los Angeles.

Kerry's love for yoga and self-inquiry brought her to India, where she completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Joan Hyman’s School of Yoga. Upon return she jumped right in to a 300-hour YTT with School of Yoga at the Center for Yoga in Los Angeles. She is also a mother of two teenagers, three rescue dogs, and two rabbits.

Kerry’s dharma is to nourish her spirit through meaningful journeys so she can be of greater service to others. Over the past 20 years, she has felt a profound kinship with India—drawn to its vibrant colors and scents, layered traditions, and creative chaos. Through her newest venture, Curious Sojourns, she curates boutique travel experiences that connect curious souls to the heart of India—and to themselves.
